Rafael dos Anjos (28-9 MMA, 17-7 UFC)   showed class with defeating Robbie Lawler (28-12 MMA, 13-6 UFC) in the UFC on FOX 26 on Saturday event at Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg and is presently hoping to be placed in line to contend for the welterweight title and now owning a 3-0 record at the division, he dominated Lawler ( 50-45) for a unanimous decision win.

Anjos a former Lightweight Champion, had only moved up to the Welterweight division this year, defeating every opponent he has faced and now on that list Lawler, didn't even have an excuse for the loss.

“It doesn’t matter,” Lawler said at UFC on FOX 26’s post-fight news conference. “He did a great job out there. It just wasn’t my night. He did a great job.”

Asked about his flaws in the fight Lawler said “I just wasn’t able to do the kind of things I wanted to do,” Lawler said. “He took advantage of – he did a great job out there. Landed some good knees. Landed some good punches, couple takedowns.”

The Happy RDA couldn't hide his emotions after and after defeating one of the best in the division anyone could be that happy.
“I’m just happy, you know, Ive been in this game so long, it’s a pleasure to fight a warrior like Robbie,” dos Anjos said.

“In my opinion I just beat the toughest guy in the division I think I deserve it because of my history,”

“I have been in the UFC 10 years already and I think I did enough to deserve the title shot.”
