Former Manchester united midfielder Paul Scholes has been interviewed for a vacant Managerial position at the Skysports League One Oldham Athletic.

Oldham Athletic parted ways with their former boss John Sheridan on September 25, after the club lost their first seven games if the season. The club is now in the hands of caretaker manager Richie Wellens who has since then won all his three games in charge.

Paul Scholes retired at Manchester United Back in 2013 after 20 years with the English top flight, winning 11 Premier League titles, 717 appearances and 155 goals.

Others up for the job are, the current Care Taker manager John Sheridan and Ex-Netherlands star Clarence Seedorf and Steven Pressley (already interviewed).
Paul Scholes had been given the opportunity to manage the League One outfit but according to him, it wasn't the right time.

Oldham Athletic are presently 19th on the League One table despite winning their last three games, and anyone taking up the position as Manager will be faced with the responsibility on lifting the club away from relegation threats.
