Jeff Horn Working Towards A Potential Conor McGregor Fight

Jeff Horn Vs Manny Pacquiao

Floyd Mayweather defeated Conor McGregor in the 10th round of their August 16th Bout and since then Conor McGregor hasn't been in the ring or Octagon and his return to either sport still looks blur till now and more opponents seem to pile up for him and the newest of them is Jeff Horn, the WBO welterweight boxing champion.

It's no new news of the Australian's interest in the Irish MMA star that so promoted a fight, till many began believing he could knock out the now retired and unbeaten Floyd Mayweather. Jeff Horn won his WBO welterweight title  via a controversial decision from Manny Pacquiao back in July this year in Brisbane, Australia.

Jeff Horn's Manager manager Dean Lonergan is now working on a potential Bout with the Irish MMA star and acvording to a publication on Sydney Morning Herald, via the Irish Mirror, he is working on making it come to fruition.

"We've talked about how Conor McGregor would be a great fight for Jeff Horn. We all know that. He's a promotional genius and he looks like a good, fun guy. Wouldn't that be a cool thing to do?"

"These [critics] are the same people that said we couldn't get Manny Pacquiao here. It turns into one of the great days of Australian sport. If we can get Pacquiao v Horn, why can't we get Conor McGregor? We'd give him a chance at the WBO welterweight title. And, to be honest, I think we can make the money stack up. I've got a rough idea of what he got."

"Obviously he's not going to get Floyd Mayweather money, but I tell you what, there wouldn't be too many fights, if any, other than Mayweather that would offer the same money I think we can put up down here."

"I thought the McGregor-Mayweather fight was entertaining. I don't care what anyone says. We probably all knew the result going in, but the build-up was entertaining, the fight was entertaining. And let's not forget what business we're in: it's entertainment. The fight people want to see are the ones that entertain."

Taking on the Australian will bring back memories of Pacquiao-Horn Bout where, no one believed Horn could take the belt from the Philippines Star, but this time Horn would be given the upper hand and maybe McGregor could show off a better display than against the ever defensive Floyd Mayweather.
