Harry Kane Wins The Player Of The Month (POTM) For September


Tottenham striker Harry Kane has been awarded Premier League player if the month following a wonderful month for the sticker who scored two goals each for Spurs in each of their three league games in September.

Harry Kane scored two goals each in each of the away games against Everton, West Ham and Huddersfield, all which ended with a win for the Spurs.

Other players nominated for the award included Manchester United Romelu Lukaku, Manchester City duo Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero, Brighton midfielder Pascal Gross, Newcastle defender Jamaal Las cell's and Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata.

Harry Kane has now equalled Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie in winning the award in five occasions which is just one shy of Steven Gerrard, who won it six times.

After year receiving the award, he told the Clubs official website "It's great to be up there with those sorts of names,".

"Of course, there's still a long way to go in my career so we'll see what happens. I'm very pleased to get this award again and it's something I'm very proud of.

"I didn't score for the whole of August and the first game in September I put a cross in and it went all the way in but that's football, that's the game and sometimes you've just got to go with it.

"You know the chances are going to come when you're playing in this team so I was happy to turn it around and hopefully I can continue that for the rest of the season now."

Together for club and Country (England), Harry Kane found the net thirteen times in eight games, Goals which has helped England to qualify for the 2018 World Cup and also in the group stage of the Champions League.
