30/9/2017

The 20 year old Head-kick queen Sabina Mazo (4-0) snubs a move to the UFC for more experience in the LFA, despite he excellent displays recently.

The Columbian has only fought in four MMA Bouts, in which the last two got her opponent out in the first round, with highlight reel head kick knockouts to retain her Unbeaten record.

She has been excellent in her start to the MMA and despite the low numbers in her MMA Career, she could take hold on the fact that many have not been able to own such great starts in their career.

“I want to gain more experience and be a little more prepared (before) making another step,” Mazo told MMAjunkie. “Because I feel all right in this moment. I feel like it’s the moment where I can change a lot of things in my game.

“And I still don’t feel, like, ready to step to the UFC (and) make the difference. Not just being a good fighter, but really making the difference between all of them.”

The Colombian has brought much attention at a her very young career but should not be blamed for cooling off movement into high paying promotions like UFC and Bellator, as she still needs to learn more to withstand the great expectations attached to the high payments of the bigger promotions.

She also admitted that, people from her home town never believed until they saw what she was capable of, also due to the low popularity level in the sport in the Country, many saw her somewhat wrong in venturing into the MMA community.

“They’re super happy (in Colombia),” Mazo said. “A lot of people didn’t really believe in me. They were kind of thinking I was crazy, because the sport is not as popular as it is over here in the United States. So, you know, a lot of people were like, ‘I mean, she is good, but.’

“But they didn’t believe I had a future in this. So it really makes me happy that I can prove a lot of people that really didn’t think I could do it. It’s just the beginning. And I’m really proud I can really show everyone – not only in Colombia, but all over the world that we can do it.”
