Rio Ferdinand To Switch From Football to Boxing

For Manchester United Center Back Rio Ferdinand is set to announce his move into the Boxing Sport after two years of retirement at 38 years.

Ferdinand has been regularly posting photos of him, undergoing a boxing training and has had a few connections with the sport recently, even went to Wembly to watch Anthony Joshua's epic heavyweight contest with Wladimir Klitschko.

The former England international will be finalizing his plans on Tuesday, when he will announce his switch to the sport, which will see his follow footsteps of Leon McKenzie and Curtis Woodhouse, one of which had won the British super lightweight title in 2014.

This move will have him apply for a boxing license from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) or Canada State Athletic Commission (CSAC) or any other governing body.

Rio Ferdinand retired from club Football very decorated with UEFA Champions League honors, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup glories, he had won during his time at Manchester united.
