Jose Sulantay Predicts Big Problems For Alexis Sanchez At Arsenal

Jose Sulantay, Chile's former Under 21 coach has predicted "serious problems" for Alexis Sanchez, when he returns from the international break.

Alexis Sanchez had asked to leave to Manchester City which was denied him this summer and Sulantay believes his future uncertainty surrounded his performance in his national team's 3-0 loss to Paraguay.

Sulantay coached Chile's Under 21 in the 2007 world Cup in Canada and puts the blame for the unbalanced Sanchez on the failed transfer to city which was cut shut by the Gunners as they failed to cut a deal for Lemar from Monaco before the end of the window.

That game was played hours after the transfer window shut in Europe, with Arsenal having pulled the plug on a deal to sell Sanchez to Man City after the Gunners failed in a bid to buy Thomas Lemar from Monaco.

"Alexis was more worried about his situation at Arsenal and now that he wasn't transferred, he will have serious problems," Sulantay was quoted as saying. "He brushed off his teammates by saying that he wanted to go to a club that won things and now he has to return there.

"If he doesn't perform, the English press will break him just as they did with Claudio Bravo and the teammates can turn their backs on him."

Arsene Wenger had told reporters, he believes that Sanchez will be fully committed to the club after the international break but this is doubted Sulantay, who feels Sanchez needed more time to recover from the Abdominal injury he had at the  start of the season.

He first featured for the Gunners in the 4-0 loss at Amfield before the international break and in the game he looked very below his.

"I see Alexis overweight, I see him fat," Sulantay said. "And a player of his level cannot lose his physical condition. But in any case, he was coming from his holidays, being with his girlfriend and having a normal life."
