Honda who confirmed Fernando Alonso will be fitted with  a new 3.7-spec power unit in his MCL32 this weekend despite exceeding the permitted number of components, has attracted the 35 grid pernalty.

McLaren is thought to be working towards maximizing their potential in the Singapore GP which comes after this weekends Italian GP, which will leave Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne penalty free high-downforce track which is good for their package unlike this weekends Italian GP where Speed is Paramount and they as usual expected to struggle

Both drivers Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne  ended the Belgian GP with no result as Stoffel Vandoorne struggled, unable to make a difference while serving his 65 grid penalty, while Fernando Alonso retired from the race saying he had an Engine Issue, that which was later revealed by Hunda to be false.

The Spaniard was angered by his Car not having enough power in a race which relied so much on it.

Already, Alonso who had claimed, he will be leaving the McLaren team has after the Belgian GP changed his mind and said he is ready to sign with McLaren.

"I am extremely happy here and l believe we could have the package to win a championship," Alonso said

"We will see what the proposals are," he said. "If they are very good, maybe two years could work. Maybe one year, maybe three, maybe five - l am young enough."
