Pep Guardiola - Kelechi Iheanacho Will May Be Out in 10 Days

Manchester City are out on their preseason tour in the US and in a press conference ahead of the clash with Manchester United, the City Boss acknowledged that Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho  will be making his way out of the Etihad before the season starts.

The youngster brought in to help Sergio Aguero in the front was left to the bench after the arrival of Gabriel Jesus and with 21 goals in 64 appearances for City, he couldn't make the first team for the reminder of the season.

The Nigerian will be looking forward to featuring for his country which will be catalyzed by his playtime. Hence, the search for greener pastures elsewhere. Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur have had interests on the striker but no concrete deal had been reached.

Guardiola stated at a press conference in Houston: "Kelechi is a young player. It was easy, an honour to work with him, because it's not easy for him, I didn't give him a lot of choices.
"But he's close to making a transfer. Maybe in the next week, in the next 10 days, it's going to finish."

Leicester has dropped a £25m offer on the forward which will see him unite with is fellow country men Wilfred Ndidi and Musa but Manchester city boss also added that a buy back Clause will be inserted into his deal.

"We'll have an option to have the opportunity in a few years to bring him back.

"But he's a young player and we believe he deserves to play, he needs to play at that age and that's why the club will decide what's best for him."
