Jeff Horn Defeats Manny Pacquiao Taking The WBO Welterweight Title

Manny Pacquiao lost his WBO Welterweight Title to Jeff Horn yesterday at Brisbane, as both fighters failed to clinch a knockout before the end of 12 rounds prompting the judges to fall to their score cards.

The Judges in front of 50,000 people in the Suncorp Stadium, erupted in cheers as Horn was declared the winner on points: 117-111, 115-113, 115-113.

The media didn't take the score and cried out but The Filipino Boxing Legend had no grudges saying in his speech "I didn't expect [him to be] that tough," he said after the fight. "It's OK. Part of the game. That's the decision of the judges. I respect that."

Stats by Compubox actually showed that, the judges might be wrong - Final Punch Stats: Jeff Horn def. Manny Pacquiao by Unan. Dec. Pacquiao out landed Horn, 182-92. Horn landed just 15% of his total punches.

Also ESPN Stats & Info twitted - " Jeff Horn: Landed 92 punches (73 of them power punches); Manny Pacquiao: Landed 182 total punches (per @CompuBox)#PacquiaoHorn".

Boxing Legend Lenox Lewis, who happened to be a the time World Heavyweight Champion, also wasn't in line with the score twitting "This is what's wrong with boxing. Horn was very game but I'm hard pressed to see how he could have won that fight by any stretch! #PacHorn"

The Australian, who is now the new WBO Welterweight Champion stated out 10 years ago and before the fight non had thought Jeff Horn could dispatch "Pac man" or even stand up till an unanimous 12-round decision at the "Battle of Brisbane."

Records for the two now become, Pacquiao's career record falls to 59-7-2, while Horn now stands at 17-0-1 on wins, losses and draws.
