Ryan Burnett Defeats Lee Haskins To Become IBF bantamweight champion

Ryan Burnett took the IBF Bantamweight Title form Lee Haskins, flooring him twice, in the 6th round and the 11th round but was wrongly scored by one judge bizarrely scored it 118-108 in favour of the Bristol fighter, with the other two officials rightly handing in convincing totals of 119-107 for Burnett at the Odyssey Arena.

Burnett started out great with strong right hands quickly gaining the respect of Haskins and in the second round both fighters had a head clash which game them both a cut in the face.

The third was a dominant display by the Belfast Guy who with slick punches drew mistakes from his opponent and at the end left another cut on the former Champions Eye.
In the Sixth Round, Burnett made a good show, with a strong right hand snapping the head of Haskins backwards, then sending him down with a powerful right hook.

Haskins got back into the fight but was constantly taking the hit and by the eight round he was bloodied. By the 10th Round, the fight was already certain a Burnett victory but the Belfast guy, went for stoppage which was denied him by Haskin in the two remaining rounds of the fight.
The home crowd couldn't help but Roar in approval, the finishing bell which marked a well deserved victory
