(Tennis) Rafael Nadal Defeats Dominic Thiem To Win The Barcelona Open

The 14th time Grand Slam Champion went defeated Theim in the Final to win the Barcelona Open for the 10th time, a week after he won his 10th Monte Carlo Masters concluding his April in style.
Nadal has been able to achieve some incredible records, now owning 10-0 record in Barcelona finals, captured a 71st tour-level crown and 51st on clay, firing 14 winners and saving the lone break point faced.
Nadal dominated Theim defeating him with a  6-4, 6-1, his mastery of the Clay court came after the first set which was very competitive but not expected as his opponent had defeated the World No. 1 Andy Murray in the Semi Finals and as in the Monte Carlo Masters He repeated the feat on his native clay of Barcelona. He has won 20 of 21 sets thus far on the European clay-court swing.

"I'm very satisfied. It's been an emotional day for me. Playing in front of my crowd and my club and winning a 10th title here is something that's impossible to even dream of. It's very special and unique,” said Nadal. “I played my best match of the tournament this afternoon against probably the toughest opponent in the tournament, so I'm very happy."
