The Young German Alexander Zverev defeated  Djokovic 6-4, 6-3 to win the Italian Open Final in Rome on Sunday becoming the youngest, to be Masters event champion in a decade at 20 Years and one Month.

The Young and fearless German took control of the game from start breaking the 12 time Champion in the first set and twice in the second set. Djokovic got a code violation for an audible obscenity in the 7th game of the 2nd set, and later double-faulted to hand Zverev match point.

The Youngster currently ranked 17th will now be heading towards the top spot, if such performances are maintained. Zverev made 14 unforced errors to his opponent's 27, he won the game within 1 hour, 22 minutes.

"It's such an honour being on the court against one of the best ever players," said Zverev after his victory.

"If I have half the career Novak has had, I will be just fine."

Novak Djokovic will now shift his focus to the French open ( The Second Grand Slam For The Year) which starts on the 28th with hopes of improvement and also attain his form which worsened after his parting with entire coaching staff earlier this month..

"I spoke to Andre the last couple weeks on the phone, and we decided to get together in Paris. So he's going to be there," said Djokovic.

"We'll see what the future brings. We are both excited to work together and see where it takes us.

"We don't have any long-term commitment. It's just us trying to get to know each other in Paris a little bit."
