Sam Sokur Defeats Daria Gavrilova Win In Strasbourg

Sam Stosur got a little Shake by fellow Australian Daria Gavrilova, who was chasing for her first WTA Title but fell 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 at the end In Strasbourg, remaining the top player in her country.

Stosur made the decisive break for a 4-2 lead in the third set after Gavrilova double-faulted. The 2011 U.S. Open champion served out to love to finish, retaining the Australian No. 1 for now 450 straight weeks, since October 2008.

Concerning the Roland Garros which kicked off yesterday "It's hard because you really want to enjoy these moments and celebrate - and we'll certainly have a nice train trip - but we'll have to maybe save going out for dinner until maybe next week," Stosur said

"Maybe at the end of Roland Garros. It's a very big bottle. It may not be so good for Monday if we all drink that big bottle,"

"Obviously it's a very quick turnaround. 'Dasha' plays Monday too so hopefully we haven't tired each other out too much.

"But I'll be just excited to play my first round there and get that tournament started."
