Remote Control Ships And Trucks , Self Driving Cars : Questions Of The Future And Implications.

Focus has been shifted recently to self driving cars and research is on to help perfect the project. Google's (GOOGLTech30) Waymo, the leader in self-driving car software are working tirelessly to bring this vision to perfection.

Just as the Air Planes are becoming Drones and that seem to have made some good progress over the years as jets have already shifted from three pilots to two and Some military pilots now sit in trailers in the Nevada dessert, flying huge drones in places such as Afghanistan even commercial pilots now use the Auto pilot features.

The Sea will also be deserted soon as technology is also been developed to make Remote Controlled Ships which will help shift the sailors from the high seas to staid office buildings where they monitor vessels from afar which will help increase efficiency, decrease costs and improve worker safety.

The ships will be Crewless, cabins sewage systems or a mess hall. Ships will be smaller and lighter. Described by the project manager Peter Due at Kongsberg, the ships will have Sailors in offices on land working, 8hours shifts and going home to spend time with their families after work.

Problems with this development isn't the technology but the Societal Acceptance, regulations and unemployment due to specialization and adapting to the new technology and some workers may have no choice but to adapt or become irrelevant.

This are the core issues this will bring, Societal Acceptance will be the paramount, as safety will be everyones check and even in the video games, we get accidents therefore even fully controlled vehicles will have the same issues. Also computers malfunction which also leaves up that big issues about auto pilot and self driving cars.

Rules and Regulations will have to be created and enforced to help keep these machines up to standard. The next will be Unemployment, which will be evident in the future, as the old will find it hard to adapt and will possibly end up unemployed
