(Premier League) Manchester City 2-1 Leicester City : Citizens Lucky For Mahrez Miss

Manchester City squeezed out a 2-1 win over Leicester City at the Etihad Stadium, which moves the Citizens up to third position with 72 points on the Premier League Table.

City took the lead a minute to the half hour mark with Silva's strick from the  six yard box and doubled by Gabriel Jesus penalty in the 36th minute but before halftime Shinji Okazaki's one time shot reduced the lead to just one.

Mahrez had a penalty kick ruled out due to a double touch in the second half and all efforts afterwards had nothing to show as the Citizens held on for a crucial win
Fernandinho headed away a good opportunity for an early goal for Leroy Sane's corner while Ndidi also lost an early opportunity for the Leicester side but the pressure on the last season Champions got telling in the 29th minute when Silva gave the home side a lead.

Despite the controversial view on whether Sterling was offside, the Referee let the goal stand. Seven minutes later, the Leicester side could not argue on the second goal as Sane was brought down six yards from goal.

Okazaki's goal was his first goal in 23 games in all competitions for Leicester and it was a absolute Rocket, bringing back life to the game but their fate was sealed after Riyad Mahrez penalty got canceled for touching the ball twice.
