Fernando Alonso Lands An Impressive Start At Indi 500 (Formula One And Indy 500)

Fernando Alonso who ditched the No. 14, a Monaco Grand Prix and his McLaren for a two week adventure at 29th Spot in a orange McLaren-Honda Andretti at the Indy 500, started out great, with finishing top of the rookies and refreshers test on the opening day of practice at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The now No. 29 of Indy 500 will be testing every day this week to qualify for the race which will hold one week after on the 28th. The Qualification unlike Formula One is been decided through average speeds and this first session is always for new entrants or those who have had a long time absence from the Vent.

The fourth place finish was Jay Howard, who made 217.353mp/h ahead of Sebastian Saavedra who came fifth with 216/598mp/h before Former McLaren junior Jack Harvey, also driving for the Andretti Autosport stable, finished sixth with a 214.353mp/h.
