(Champions League) Monaco 0-2 Juventus : Gonzalo Higuain Nets Twice Away Without Reply

The Old Ladies made an example of the French side Monaco in France, taking a two goal advantage back home where they will now prepare for the second leg. Gonzalo Higuain registered the two Goals, all of which was assisted by Dani Alves in the 28 and 59th minute respectively.

Juventus dominated the early minutes of the game, pressing hard on their host and as a result the Host had no penetrating power and control over the ball but as the game matured, Monaco gained more control but couldn't get a good ball aimed at Buffon though Mbappe had a chance thrown away in the 17'
Subasic was more busy among the keepers as the defenders hardly could contain the Italian Giants. It was obvious the plan of Allegri's men in the early minutes, as they kept on finding Dani Alves.

Monaco had their spell of possession before the conceded the first goal, Dani Alves and the Argentina international link up brilliantly, before the Brazilian right-back cuts back a beautiful ball to the edge of the penalty area. The former Napoli forward picks his spot before thumping a first-time finish across Subasic and into the bottom-left corner.

Experience was as work against Power and energy, which was witnessed towards the end of the first 45. The Monaco youngsters had the Old Ladies pushed back into tough defending but could not make a clear shot till the end of the first half.

Just as the first Half, Monaco controlled more of the possession in the early minutes, with Falcao having more of the opportunities to put the French side back in the game but failed at each time as the ever Young Buffon keeps coming to the rescue.

Higuain slid in the second goal in the 59th minute despite the dominance in possession by their host. Dani Alves hanging a beautiful cross into his striker. The target of the delivery slides in and slots a neat finish beyond Subasic and into the back of the net.

The Host now have the second leg to book a place in the Final and the Italians have an unbeaten record at home which was unbreakable by the great Barcelona.
