(Boxing) Gervonta Davis Vs Liam Walsh : IBF Super-Featherweight Title Fight Preview And Predictions

20th of May is set to be blown away with a stunning display of tactical Boxing by two undefeated fighters. Gervonta Davis will put his IBF Super-Featherweight Title on the line against Liam Walsh (21-0, 14 KOs), a mandatory challenger at the Copper Box Arena in London on Saturday.

Liam Walsh who is the British, Commonwealth and WBO European champ Walsh, 30 will be going into the fight with some advantage over the 22 year old Davis Gervonta Davis, who has only gone the six round distance, ones in his professional  career.

Gervonta Davis (22), knocked out Jose Pedraza in January this year to claim the 130 pound World title, which makes Him the youngest world title holder from the United States and second world Youngest to Japan's Kosei Tanaka, a 21-year-old junior flyweight titlist, who will also be defending on the same date.

Davis spent the last days at his training camp with Floyd Mayweather in the Gym working closely with the retired Pound for pound Boxer and with that amount of work will be ready for the more experienced 30-year-old Walsh (21-0, 14 KOs).

Gervonta Davis is young, a man of great potential and possessing much power in his arms but haven't had a any big fight other than his exploits against Pedraza back in January but his opponent Liam Walsh has had some Competitive fights accompanied with experience which gives him an edge over Davis.

Everything On The Fighters

The champion has a misleading moniker of “Tank”. He is not by any means a Shawn Porter human battering ram type of fighter. His agility is often beguiling as he often shrinks the pocket to phone booth warfare. The American hails from Baltimore Maryland.

Standing all of 5’6” with a 69” reach and fights out of the southpaw stance at 22 years of age.
Gervonta’s record is 17-0, 16 KO’s.
The challenger Walsh goes by nickname, “Destiny”. At 5’7” and unconfirmed wingspan of 70”. Liam hails from England and also fights from the southpaw stance making for an intriguing night of “righties”. He will enter ring just 2 days after turning 31. His undefeated ledger boasts a clean slate without a blemish at 21-0, 14 KO’s.
