(Boxing) Errol Spence Jr Defeats Kell Brook To Win The IBF Welterweight Title

Errol Spence wins the IBF Welterweight Title, taking it from Kell Brook with eleventh round stoppage which was due to an eye injury.

Kell Brook went down on his Knees with a swollen eye which prompted the referee Howard Foster to bring the fight to a close, confirming Spence Jr as the new IBF welterweight champion.

Errol Spence was ahead in all three judges score cards which was a result of his determination, evident from the first round bell but the Champion was out to end him in a few rounds with bulldozing power which was complimented by perseverance through by Spence in a difficult sixth round when Brook turned up the heat.

The Southpaw replied with straight left hands and soon the had a swollen eye and it worsened quickly and by the end of the ninth round Kell  Brook was anticipating the bell as he bravely held on.

Brook was then on the floor - a combination with a crunching punch to the mid-section from Spence Jr caused him to double-up in pain. His eye, by this point, looked appalling but he bravely roared on and, from the precipice of defeat, turned the round into a back-and-forth affair and he sunk to his knees before the referee saved him.
