La Liga : Lucas Alcaraz Sacked By Granada CF And  Tony Adams Replaced



Tony Adams has now been  replaced by Granada as Caretaker Coach till the end of the season. The 50 year old former Arsenal Captain, who has had some time at Portsmouth, Wycombe Wanderers, China and Azerbaijan will be taking charge in immediate effect.

The Struggling Spanish top flight club deemed it fit to part ways with Lucas Alcaraz on Monday naming Tony Adams who will now have his Caretaker Rule start with their game against Celta Vigo on Sunday.

A statement from the Club stated "After evaluating the team's situation and the atmosphere in the group after recent results, Granada CF has decided to conclude Lucas Alcaraz's chapter and that of his technical team in charge of the first team.

"In his place, the club puts all its confidence in Tony Adams, vice-president of DDMC [a sports management company], as Granada CF's first team coach until the end of the season.

"Granada wants to thank Alcaraz and his staff for their personal and professional commitment and wishes them the best of luck in the future."
