Yi-Technolgy Announces Two Mind Blowing Camera's : The 17 Lens Yi-Halo And Yi-360


This New piece of device is being built by a Chinese company Yi Technology and for two years now have been seen to be great surprisingly capable GoPro competitors. This Chinese company is now venturing into the VR technology and 360 degree Video announcing two new models at the NAB conference in Las Vegas. The Yi Halo which is made in Collaboration with Google for professional Use, while the other is the Yi 360 VR Camera which is Spherical for consumer use.

The Yi Halo is a 17 lens Camera built to work with Google It was built to work with Jump, which is a high-end VR creation platform that Google launched in 2015 whose main idea is to encourage film making while also removing one of its biggest problems. The Yi Halo is one of the one of the Modifications of the 4k Action Camera which competes with the GoPro 8k with a unique ability to shoot 5.8K at 60 frames per second

The Yi Halo comes with an additional camera which is placed on the rig in order to better capture a 360 footage directly above the Viewers head while viewing it all on a VR headset. Also featured is a smartphone technology with touch screen control panel which is Beats the GoPro in its own game.

GoPro had last year dropped a 16 Lens Camera (Imax)  last year which has is also compatible with the Jump platform and Facebook also has something of this sort.

 Yi-360 VR 

The Yi 360 VR which will be available by June this year for Consumers is capable of capturing 360-degree video at 30 frames per second in 5.7K resolution, slightly edging out the 5.2K resolution of Fusion which beats the resolutions of other competitors makes( 360-degree cameras like the Nikon KeyMission 360or the Samsung Gear 360). The Yi 360 VR uses a pair of overlapping 220-degree lenses, two 12-megapixel Sony IMX377 sensors, and an Ambarella processing chip to stitch the footage together in-camera. It can also live stream 2.5K footage at 30 frames per second over Wi-Fi.
