(Champions League) Borussia Dortmund Vs Monaco : Match Preview And Predictions

Borussia Dortmund vs Monaco
UEFA Champions League Quarter Final First Leg
Date: Tuesday, 11th April 2017
Kick-off at 19:45 UK / 20:45 CET
Venue: Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund

The German side Borussia Dortmund will welcome the French side Monaco to Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund, Germany for the Quarter Final fixture of the UEFA Champions League. Both teams have done really well to reach this stage of the competition, laying waste Benfica and Manchester City in the knock out stage.
It's been a while since they both made it to the Quarter Finals of the competition, for Dortmund they lost out to Madrid in the Quarter Finals after having a two goal lead in the first leg of the 2013/2014 UEFA Champions League. For Monaco their last quarter final, saw them knocked it by the Italian Champions Juventus 2014/2015 season.

Monaco will be meeting this German side for the first time but have had 16 other meetings with German side which has seen them win 7, draw 5 and lose 4. While for Dortmund against French sides have seen them win 6 draw 5 and lose 5.
Monaco's TiemouĂ© Bakayoko suspended for clubs' first UEFA competition Clash. Having a good record of 8 wins in 9 games which keeps them on top of the  Ligue 1 table, a point above Nice while Dortmund will love to recover from their experience at the Alliance Arena on Saturday, conceding two goals in ten minutes and eventually losing out 4-1 to the Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich.

The game tends to project a high scoring game as both sides have been very excellent in front of the goal recently. Radamel Falcao or Pierre Emerick Aubameyang to score anytime for our goalscorer predictions. Falcao has netted 23 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions this season and has four in four in the Champions League, whilst Aubameyang has scored 33 in 36 for Dortmund and has seven goals in seven Champions League matches this season.

The game will be a tricky one to predict as Borussia Dortmund has been very excellent at home this season, with an unbeaten record winning 17 games and 4 Draws while Monaco haven't been so good away in German soil, having lost to Bayer Leverkusen  in the early stages of the competition. Therefore, Dortmund will now be heading in with a bit of an advantage over their visitors.

Borussia Dortmund 3-2 Monaco
