Napoli 1-3 Real Madrid (2-6 agg)


Real Madrid came out victorious away at Stadio San Paolo as they rode on the express to the quarter final of the UEFA Champions League, a clashed that produced four goals, three for the Visitors.  An identical score to that of the first leg fixture leaving the aggregate 2-6.
Napoli cane into the game with some force pushing their visitors from the first minute and before 10 minutes over three shots were taken which in no doubt declared their intent for the game.

The almost saw Madrid lose their two goal advantage in the first half as immediately after the first goal from the Napoli key - man Dries Mertens, who got close with his shot hitting the pole. Total dominance by the Home side was observed as Madrid made very few attempts on target during the first 45 minutes.

Madrid went into the break trailing, but 10 minutes into the second 45, Real Madrid's goal scoring defender Sergio Ramos headed home an equalizer also making it two as his goal intended header was deflected by Dries Mertens into the net for the second goal.

The Italian side still pushed the game though fatigue was observed to have now set into the team hence, reducing their pace. The Madrid side now had an edge as the Napoli attack had settled. A quick feet by Christiano Ronaldo opened up a chance but the shot was deflected off the goal keeper towards Alvaro Morata for a wonderful finish.
