Middlesbrough 0-2 Manchester City (FA Cup Quarter Final) : Silva And Aguero Power City Into Semi Finals

Manchester City beat Middlesbrough away at Riverside Stadium two Nil to qualify for the Semi Finals of the FA Cup

City took an early lead, Zabaleta is played into all sort of space down the right and his cross is first met by Sterling, who scuffs his strike. However. the rebound falls to Silva and the Spaniard makes no mistake to fire past Guzan from close range to give them the lead just three minutes into the game.

The Game looked easier for the visitors as the home boys were unable to make a good attack. coming into the game gradually, the Boro side almost got back in the game in the 22nd minute  Gestede rises highest in the box and powers a header towards goal from Leadbitter's corner but Zabaleta was there to save City.

The second 45 almost saw City double the lead in an identical way as that of the first, but Silva sent the ball over the net. After a couple of good saves from Guzan, City doubled the lead in the 67th minute. The visitors build down the left before a pass from Silva releases Sane. The German surges down the flank before firing across the face of goal, where Aguero converts from close range.
Aitor Karanka seem to have few options on the bench as his men lacked penetrating power in the third quarter.

Manchester City should be sure of Semi Finals now with this goal almost making it three minutes later but disallowed by the referee. City had taken over the game early in the second half and from the look of things, there is no more hope for the Boro side in this competition.
