Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal



Liverpool come out victorious at the end of the biggest game in the Premier League this weekend with Arsenal.

Arsenal had their key man Alexis Sanchez out of their starting line up due to their Champions League fixture with Bayern Munich which back fired and had them trailing 2 Nil by half time whistle.

Roberto Firmino started the scoring in the 9th minute which was doubled by Sadio Mane in the 40th minute, but Arsenal struggled through finding it hard to make a good shot or even sending it on target, with Giroud and Welbeck their key men.

The Game had a little life for Arsenal after the break as Alexis Sanchez was introduced, who early in the second half from a counter sent a nice through ball setting Welbeck up for a nice finish lighting up the Visitors.

More of Sanchez was seen but his runs were of less effect due to the Exceptional defense displayed by Liverpool on today's play, with that Walcott and Chamberlain were introduced to help push the attack, of which still lacked penetration.

Liverpool had another close one down at the 80th minute, from a header which hit the pole before Arsenal also came close but failed to take advantage of their opportunities. The last goal came in the last Minutes of the game, after an Arsenal failed attack, a quick counter landed a ball on Sadio Mane, whose quick pace was anticipated by Georginio, who receiving a low cross from the flank from Mane was able to get his name on the Score sheet.

Arsenal are now in fifth position though this would have been sixth if Manchester United defeated Bounemouth. For the Gunners, all road leads to Bayern Munich for their Champions League Knock Out stage fixture.
