Nigerian U23 yesterday bowed to the German U23 conceding two goals with a very poor display, having so few shots on target that the German goal keeper wasn't disturbed most of the match.

The Nigerians made a major mistake in the game at the 9th minute which lead to their trailing in the first 45 minutes of the game. The Nigerians had some opportunities that they would have capitalized on but due to lack of team work the goal couldn't be equalized, this the Nigerian U23 coach failed to address during the break,  more of the Nigerian players where out playing individual football and not as a team leading to the having very few completed passes. The midfield was a bit balanced but unorganized so this lead to their demise.

The German U23 were less built physically than the Nigerians but played perfectly spreading across the field while the Nigerians clustered around parts of the field. This brilliant spread made it easy to take the Nigerians by surprise with long crosses across the field and each time the defence suffered for it.

Changes where made by both teams as fatigue was observed in both teams and the Germans where more tired but relentless, making each breath count while the Nigerians waste more of theirs and the Nigerian U23 changes didn't make much a change because they kept on repeating those same Mistakes, passing late passes and failing to take chances give by a counter, delaying and holding on the ball till they clustered by the German players.  The Game ended at the 89th minute as the Germans completed their counter with a goal ending the Nigerian dream of Gold.
