Fast rising contender Gilbert Burns brought former Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley some rude awakening in the main event of UFC On ESPN 9 Main event on Saturday night at the Apex Center.

Woodley went into the fight after almost more than a year away from the Octagon and his return wasn't as palatable as he perceived, with Gilbert Burns pressuring and dominating him from the opening round till the end to win a unanimous decision 50-44 twice and 55-45 on the Judges scorecards.
“I’m very happy. I trained so hard for this fight. I knew I could do it. Former Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley feels somehow unusual after his UFC on ESPN 9 Main event loss to rising contender Gilbert Burns on Saturday night at the Apex Center in Las Vegas.

Woodley was dominated from start to finish in a fight that was supposed to be his bounce back from his title loss to Kamaru Usman about 15 months ago. The first back to back loss in his professional career but this seemed to bother him less as he felt and look d alot calmer in his post fight interview.

Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is stepping back in the Octagon against Rising Contender Gilberto Burns in the main event of UFC on ESPN 9 tonight, the first time since loosing his title to current champion Kamaru Usman.

Woodley (19-4-1 MMA, 9-3-1 UFC) will be looking to bounce back from the one side performance in his last outing and in so doing, stop one of the biggest prospects in the Welterweight division in Burns (18-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC).

Both fighters performed their duties in making the fight official by hitting the scales at the 170.5 pounds respectively during the weigh Ins that ended with only one fighter missing weight.

The English Premier League is set to make a return to our screens after three months of lockdown and the first two games will be the big clash - Manchester City Vs Arsenal FC and  Aston Villa Vs Sheffield United, which takes place on Wednesday 17th of June.

The first full round of football with take place from June 19 to June 21st which will be the first time since a ban was placed on gatherings due to the Corona Virus pandemic. The first two games, taking place on the 17th where games postponed earlier this year to give room for the EFL cup final.
